The Department of Mathematics, Kamala Nehru College, organized its Annual Departmental Day, “Omicron” in virtual mode via Google Meet Platform on 4th March, 2021. The chief guests of the day were Professor Parvin Sinclair, Professor at IGNOU and Dr. Rita Malhotra, former Principal, Kamala Nehru College.
The event began with a lecture by Prof. Sinclair followed by a presentation on “The Fascinating World of Infinites and Reciprocals” by Dr. Rita Malhotra.

The Department of Mathematics, Kamala Nehru College, organized a guest lecture by Prof. Shabd Sharan Khare, former Pro-Vice Chancellor and Head of Department of Mathematics at North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong on 7th April,2021.
The topic of the lecture was “Beauty of Mathematics”. The purpose of the talk was to convey some fascinating elements of mathematics to convince students that the subject can be made interesting, if interacted properly. The lecture was delivered virtually via Google Meet Platform.

The speakers for the event were Dr. Neha Nanda, Research Fellow at IISER and Ms.Pooja Kumari, Associate Director, B2B Sales & Account Management.
